Throughout the Remembrance period, a donation of £25 will be made to the Royal British Legion and Poppyscotland for every eligible Golden Charter funeral plan purchased*. This is the eighth year of our partnership with the charities. Since our partnership began, together with our network of independent funeral directors, we’ve raised over £700,000.
There are a range of ways you can raise money for these worthwhile charities. The Royal British Legion website has a number of fundraising resources, all available to download for free.
All money raised for the charities will go towards support for members of the Armed Forces, and their families.
Ways you can raise money for the Royal British Legion and Poppyscotland
If you’d like to raise money for the Royal British Legion, you can request a free fundraising pack online. The pack is full of ideas, tips and resources to support the Royal British Legion and this year’s Poppy Appeal, and help you smash your fundraising target. You’ll be able to set up your very own fundraising page.
11,000 steps a day in November
The Royal British Legion is inviting the public to walk 11,000 steps each day throughout November. The number signifies the date of Armistice Day, which falls on the 11th day of the 11th month. When you register your fundraising page on Facebook, you’ll receive a free t-shirt.
Walk, run, or cycle
Royal British Legion Poppy Walks are short and sociable walks in November, which culminate in participants planting their own poppy tributes in memory of lost loved ones.
There are also a number of marathons you can sign up for in 2024, as well as cycles, including Pedal to Paris. This four-day ride from London to Paris ends at the Arc De Triomphe in a Tour De France style finish.
